Pianist Antonio Oyarzabal brings his critically acclaimed programme The Forgotten Muse to Old St Mary’s for a lunchtime performance. Drawing from his albums La Muse Oubliée (Forgotten Muse) II and El fin del silencio (The End of Silence), this solo recital brings us on a journey through the ages and around the world, offering a fresh perspective on the classical piano repertoire.

The programme includes music by French sisters Nadia and Lili Boulanger, alongside Cécile Chaminade’s gorgeous Automne and Florence Price’s evocative Sketches in Sepia. From Viennese classical composer Marianne von Martinez who played alongside Mozart to the American Dana Suesse, known as ‘the girl Gershwin’, Oyarzabal brings us on a journey of rediscovery, celebrating the contributions of these forgotten musical pioneers.
