As part of a new collaboration with the National String Quartet Foundation, Finding a Voice is proud to welcome one of Ireland’s most dynamic ensembles, the Ora Quartet, to Clonmel. This performance forms part of a nationwide tour showcasing music by women composers spanning different eras and styles.

The programme includes Elizabeth Maconchy’s dramatic String Quartet No. 3, and Caroline Shaw’s Blueprint, a modern reimagining of classical forms with playful and inventive elements. Irish composer Ailbhe McDonagh’s Lore Quartet is a journey through some of Ireland's most treasured myths and legends, while Florence Price’s String Quartet No. 2 blends African American vernacular idioms and colourful harmonic language, reflecting Price’s groundbreaking contribution to American music that has been rediscovered in the last decade.
